Good basic stationery item
Paper files aren't as big a thing as they used to be, but hanging files are still useful to store documents before scanning, or for which you need to keep originals for a while. These are a good, inexpensive solution. The only slightly surprising thing is that they arrive in a (factory) box that's slightly too small for the folders to sit flat, so they'll arrive somewhat bent.
