Works well
Added them to a wood porch swing. Nice. Now when I sit in it, it doesn’t have a hard thud. It’s a soft landing

Durable and Strong
I bought these to add to a porch swing project that is over 8 feet long and extremely heavy. These springs have been in place now for over a year and I have noticed zero additional slack in the springs, even though they are holding up in excess of 500 pounds with three people and a few dogs rocking back and forth! Also, even though the springs are under cover, rain can and does often hit them from the side. Despite this and going through a gruesome Winter, the finish is as bright and shiny as when I bought them. Adding springs to a porch swing is not required -- but, you will not regret adding them as they add a measure of bouncy comfort that feels unbeatable. Hanging them couldn't be easier. Just place them in line after the mounting bracket ( I used a very heavy duty product: Item B007KXRAJE that came with a carabiner) and before the chain which hooks on the end. I would heartily recommend these springs for their strength and quality finish.

Swing Mate Double
Excellent product. Simple yet effective. Used this to connect my support chains to my porch swing chair. Made it much more comfortable as there is a give to the chains and really makes a difference if you just want to plop down on the chair. Also the price is a lot cheaper than the one type of spring that I saw at Home Depot. I weigh 200 lbs. and my wife weighs 125 lbs. and the springs hold up no problem. I suspend my chair off of a tree limb in my back yard and so far this spring appears impervious to the rain and sun. I would definitely recommend this product and buy it again if needed.

Gives a nice bounce/give to your porch swing.
I got these for our newly acquired (to us) porch swing. I was reading that people liked these because it gives a little bounce to the swing.Having never owned a porch swing I wasn't sure if I needed them or not.The positive reviews and the simple fact that this is made in the USA is why I bought them. Install is super easy according to the directions. Attach the springs to your hooks or mounting brackets, then attach the porch chain, then the remaining porch chain goes on top of the top hook of the spring as a safety measure.I tried the swing without the springs for about 5 minutes, then attached the springs and did the same test. It is more comfortable with the springs. Gives a nice bounce/give when swinging. I am glad I got the springs. My ONLY gripe and I would hope the manufacture could list somewhere. What are the springs rated for? It doesn't state anywhere on the box or instruction sheet. It's not a deal killer for me and I doubt most would even care but I like to be on the safe side. My Sittin Easy swing is only rated for 500lbs, the brackets I used are rated for 1,600lbs, and the GRK RSS screws are rated at 1,300lbs (4 total=5,200lbs). Not that I see the springs failing before the actual swing/chains but it's still something that I'd like to personally know.If you have a porch swing and want a more comfortable ride these are a nice upgrade :-)

Just what I'd hoped they would be
A buddy helped me hang a 5' Trex bench swing from a large oak limb and used springs between the hanger straps and the chain from the bench. I also used swivels between the springs and the straps. Combined, he and I are just over 400 lbs in addition to the weight of the bench. With both of us on the bench you can see only a slight separation between the coils. They seem to work great and take up some of the jolt that could be transmitted to the limb or hanger straps. Bench seems a little more comfortable with these shock absorbers. If they hold up to the elements as advertised, I'll be thrilled and would reorder if installing another swing.

Great Addition for your favorite Porch Swing
These springs are 4" long and provide the extra chain length we need to hang our swing from a 9' porch ceiling, the original reason for the purchase. The bonus is that they are heavy duty and turned our swing into a nicer experience. It takes all the bounce out of sitting down and getting up and smooths the ride when swinging. Highly recommended. There is no apparent stress on the springs with two adults on the swing. Likely to last longer than the swing itself!
