Flexible, Easy to Hide, Good Performance, Competitive cost
I love flat cables. The offer the ability to route in tight places and hide easily. The TBMax black Cat 6 cable is very pliable making it easy to tuck into cracks such as behind kick boards and turn tight corners to best hide the cable. You can almost bend the cable over onto itself. The Amazon webpage does a good job of showing this advantage. The cable material feels slick to me and should slide easily across other cables if your pulling through a bundle or rats nest. The strain reliefs are standard looking but do the job to protect wires from breaking and are welded to the cable jacket. The rubbery guard over the tab helps to keep the tab from snagging and breaking off when pulling the cable through bundles or around corners and I guarantee it will happen and your left with a cable that slips out its socket with the slightest vibration. The protective cover itself is very flexible and would bend not break should it get caught up on something. The connector body is clear plastic and through it you can see the contacts are gold vapor deposited to provide greater electrical performance without contact degradation from oxidation as gold will not oxidize easily.I have a 1Gbps capable network. I did send data packets over my 1G LAN with the cable connected to the PC and then a switch and to a Network Attached Storage and measured as good as Ive gotten with other cables or around 825 Mbps. The cable is marked CAT6 at intervals along its length for easy ID.It also has the term ROHS marked on it. If you've ever wondered what the ROHS means its a standard for Reduction of Hazardous Substances required by many countries and the EU both in the product and during its manufacture to promote a better safer environment. Conclusion: Flat cables are the best and this cable makes it easy to tuck into tight spaces while maintaining my LANs 1G speeds and the cost is reasonable.

Adequate with expected speeds but not sure about its durability
I was able to run it at mostly consistent speeds of 110 MB/s when transferring a 4.6GB file across my network (using network drives on a gigabit backbone). This means it is capping at 1gbps which is what it is being sold as [1gbps = 125 MB /s].I had two concerns: one, this is by far the thinnest and most fragile feeling cable I have tested now. This is way too thin and it feels that one bad tug or gash might permanently damage it (like if you have cats and they play with an exposed portion of it). The second was this weird funky smell coming off the sleeve. No idea why and it was unexpected, but it got weaker over a few days.Overall, it seems to be adequate with expected speed, but I am not sure on its durability. I would probably only recommend this for home use and where it can be organized/hidden.Just to note, CAT 6 can be used up to 10gbps, but this cable is only rated for 1gbps so there is no guarantee it can reach any higher speeds.

It's flat. It's easy to cover or route against walls. It works
I’ve been using a 25 foot, round, Cat6 cable to connect my office computer to a switch in another room. This cable is big – and it can easily get under my feet, and probably shouldn’t be stepped on. What I needed is a flat cable that can be routed around the sides of my office, and connect to my office computer. The TBMax 25 foot Cat 6 flat computer LAN wire meets that need. It’s flat, so it can be covered by a rug without causing a bump like my other cable did. It has good connectors, so I don’t have to worry much about signal quality. My only concern is that the wires in the cable are, of necessity, a bit small, and there’s not a lot of flat cable to fit into the Ethernet connector at either end. So far, these concerns have been meaningless.I’ve installed this cable between office and switch, and it worked fine, with a good signal detected by my computer’s speed test. This is a good, very low profile, cable that is suited for most computing needs where Cat 7 and Cat 8 are unnecessary (and that’s almost everywhere).

VERY Supple! Works Well, Good Anti-Snag/Connector, Flat Cables Great Under-Carpet, Very Pleased
I am quite pleased with this cable and this flat style of Ethernet cables in general. This very supple cable is very easy to run in the twists and turns that seem to be everywhere or pull between floors. They are especially nice when I need to run a cable across a room under a carpet or in a space where a round cable might not work as well. These flat cables open options in situation where round cables would not work as well.I used this 25ft cable to run from my basement switch to surveillance camera mounted on the eve of my home. I hooked this cable up and it just works great. This is no surprise as LAN cables are pretty much commodity items and have been for years. They are also items that mostly either work or just don’t. I mostly shop based on category, price and format (flat vs round).I’m quite pleased and this cable is giving me a 5 star performance.

Very long and nice quality
I have a professional photo printer, and have rearranged my office lately, so that I can have better space management. As such, my photo printer is now very far from my router, where I had it networked, so my old ethernet cord was way too short. This 25 footer was certainly more than enough for me to hook it up again from it's new place. The cable is nice and flat as well, so I was able to neatly tuck it away in certain areas to keep the look nice and streamlined. So far I am very pleased with the quality of this cable, and Cat 6 was more than adequate for my needs. There were no connectivity issues at all, and if you need a nice long cord like I did, you can hardly go wrong with the length and quality of this one.

Very useful if you are doing indoor work. Takes up very little space.
The media could not be loaded. This is an indoor cable for sure. This is so flat that it takes up very little space on the wall or in your backpack. If you are running it along a wall it makes it less obvious. I use long cables like this in my daily work. And I travel around a lot between buildings.Using cables like this makes it easier to test and configure network hardware from an easy to use location. (check out the video)Being flat like it is does risk tangles though. Even more so than your regular shielded / unshielded pair. Thats why I keep my traveling cables on a small travel spool.Works great for my situation. I just need a long cable in a small space. Not for long term outdoor use.2 Thumbs up.
