Fantastic Gaming rig but…
This laptop is a beast when “it” wants to be, IDK why but sometimes it’ll start malfunction for random reason mostly when it comes to Heavy gaming, and when that happens good luck trying to find the solution took me almost 2 days to figure out my problem. So as long as you know what your doin this laptop is Amazing!

a troublefree laptop, it isn't that
While I am not using this laptop as my primary computer yet, I have spent some time playing games to test it out. So far I have had a pretty inconsistant issue while gaming where it will suddenly kick the fans to high and become unresponsively slow. The temps are normal but the fans are stuck on full blast and the msi tools, a big headache when setting up the laptop, will not control them. Only restarting gets the fans to stop. Still searching for answers because the computer looks and feels amazing, the display is crisp and fast, and while it works it WORKS.

Much better than I expected
I acquired this machine after having a Toshiba S55T-C5165 for almost 7 years. Unfortunately my Toshiba suffered a processor damage which could no longer be fixed. This MSI is by far a better option than the other brands that exist in the market. It is super fast, fluid in the processes that I carry out that are related to my profession such as electrical engineering, I have no problems running simulators, computer-aided drawing programs such as autocad, solidworks, among others. In addition, all the complementary software programs such as the Dragon Center are an excellent alternative to have control of the cooling of the machine by accessing the revolutions of the fans. The battery life is 7-8 hours with a heavy workload and with all the brightness and definition of the screen it is astonishing. The only problem I found is that in the Dragon Center when the automatic fan selection is left set, the laptop turns off with some games, just at the moment the third fan is turned on, however this does not happen with simulators. that I use for my work. To solve this problem with the games I have chosen to create a custom ventilation mode and with this I solved it. Apart from that, in this month of use I have not had any additional problems.

Great hardware, could use better software
First, the look and feel of the laptop is amazing. Great touch, great polish, sleek and the dragon on the lid makes my day, every day. The specs of the laptop are great and can take on any game with decent FPS, but the MSI software is definetly lacking. When pushed to the limits, the laptop overheats unless you manually adjust the fan control and push them to the max. Once the manual settings are in .. you can use it as an actual gaming laptop. Having using this for more than 2 years, the keyboard LEDs at some point stopped functioning correctly, but putting that aside, the laptop is still functioning well to this day.

The only thing missing is a touchscreen
Pros : Love the graphics, responsiveness, and look. Cons: Will get hot quickly during intense gaming.(dual fan does work adequately), no touchscreen, and larger size I am happy with my purchase. The fans will get noisy at times but the system runs flawlessly outside of that.

Bought during Prime Days discount
First, I want to mention that product later than scheduled. Had to go through multiple calls to UPS to resolve that. Regarding the product: PROS Amazing gaming performance (all specs as advertised except for SSD memory) Laptop looks/feels good Nice looking RGB keyboard Super FAST in performing general desktop tasks CONS SSD memory is LESS than advertised in description (actual memory is ~452 GB vs 512 GB ), idk if I should contact the seller on this. Somewhat loud when under the load (I use cooling pads as well). Overall, recommended for purchase if you are okay to sacrifice 70-80 GB of SSD memory

Update: Laptop becomes useless after it melts itself from being so hot
UPDATE REVIEW: Turning my rating from a 3-star down to a 1-star. I think it's just melted itself at this point. It's only good for Youtube and Microsoft Word now. Any game I try to play will overheat and crash. Some games that will make my laptop crash from over-heating: Parkitect, Rogue Tower, Risk of Rain 2, Civ 6, Prominence Poker, Psychonauts 2, Iron Meat, Don't Starve Together, Chef RPG... These are all real basic games. When I first started gaming on this laptop, I was able to play Battlefield and Escape From Tarkov. I can't even do basic stuff now. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I haven’t even had it for two full months at this point and I’ve already experienced some drop in quality. The speakers go in and out randomly. Sometimes only one will work and then all of them will work. If I’m watching a video, it’ll get real quiet all of a sudden and this happens often. On top of this, the speakers make a sputtering sound even if nothing is playing. If I put it on mute, it’ll stop, so idk what’s up with that. I’ve been experiencing that it gets insanely hot after a very short period. There were points where I’d sit on the couch in shorts with this on top of my lap and I would think I was literally getting burned by metal. Just have to use it with a pillow or blanket on my lap, but kinda defeats the purpose when I’m traveling. Also, the grips on the bottom do not grip to any surface. I also tried editing some drone footage with this and the default video player can’t even play the files. Super sad because I was hoping to edit videos on this but I guess not. The screen quality is amazing and everything seems to run fast and smooth.

Very good, sleek, but runs hot and very loud fans.
It's a very good looking laptop. It's very smooth. The screen and fps is very good. My biggest complain is the heating and the fans. They are super loud, even on "balanced" mode. They soar on "performance". Also, the battery life is around 5 hours or so.
