I really like this set of 6 mats and coasters. They're very good quality, good sizes and beautiful rich colours. Excellent value for money too.

Beautiful, large place mats
These very attractive place mats are larger than average - I can fit a 26cm dinner plate and cutlery on the mat. I love the painterly design - looks like soft pastels. They have a smooth finish but not 'mirror gloss'. One reviewer has said "slightly rough" but they are definitely smooth and easily wiped clean.I've put hot dishes on them without any detrimental effect.My only negative is that if you spill oil, it can creep in the side edge, under the top surface and darken the colour. I'm thinking of adding an extra protective varnish on the sides only. That said, I'm delighted with this purchase and the mats give me some visual pleasure every meal time.

Incorrect size on photo
Lovely mats but much smaller than described in the photo of the blue mats. Closer to 36cm by 23cm

Whilst the mats a re very sturdy they are a little thiner than my previous ones.
