A must to have

Knowing the origins of the concepts that later developed what is known today as Geotechnical Engineering is fundamental to have a broad understanding of what means to be a Gtech. This book includes lots of concepts and assumptions that engineers had to do in the past when dealing with the unknown, when dealing with soil behavior. The book has a great historical value but can not be used as a guidance for modern foundation design, not recommended for juniors since it will confuse you. I strongly recommend this book for senior gtechs, for those that understand that in our field, experience is the greatest commodity and maybe the only one.Julio D
