Same book, 2 different titles
Great book, but it’s the same as “When Life Gives you Lululemons”. It’s not a follow up to that book like I thought.

Same as when life gives you…
As I was reading it seemed predictable…came on Amazon to read reviews and realized it’s the same book I read yeArs ago. Very misleading changing the title. Will be returning the book. great read, but once is enough.

Same book as When Life Gives You Lululemons
Was so excited to start reading this book only to dive into the first few pages and find out it is the EXACT SAME book as When Life Gives You Lululemons. I even flipped to the end of the book to make sure it was the SAME and sure enough it was. WHY Lauren would you rename this book and make your readers think they were getting a new book from you to read. HORRIBLE. Severely disappointed.

What a fantastic book!
What a fantastic book! I really thoroughly enjoyed this. Every single minute was pure joy! I really enjoyed the Devil Wears Prada series and I was looking forward to see what happened next in Emily’s life. It was totally worth the wait. This book is chick lit in the finest form, I laughed so much, it was an absolute pleasure to read. Emily is such a cutthroat character I love it, she has balls, does not give a hoot and is laugh out loud funny.Emily is the perfect character, she is funny in this hardcore ruthless way. The only criticism I can give is that we don’t go in too deep with Emily, I would of liked to of maybe gone a bit more in depth. Find out what really makes her tick. The book includes two other women that make up the titled “wives”. Miriam and Karolina are both completely different and each chapter is written from there point of view, leading the story along with there thoughts and emotions. I love the way this was written, you can see the different aspects of the characters, truly seeing it from all sides. The novel is set in modern day America, there are so many references to modern day celebrity culture making the characters and there story all the more relatable. This is an epic book on how women can come together and accomplish anything. Humour runs throughout this novel but lurking underneath is a plot most sinister, proving a bit of friendship maybe a glass of wine can actually prove to make things easier. This book is absolutely charming and the only reason this does not get the full 5 stars is that I feel we could of gone more in depth with the characters, I feel they had a lot more to give. A lot more plot twists would have been welcome and because of all the brilliant hilarious co stars in the book, it would have been nice to see what happened to them too. This is a chick lit lovers dream! Sequel please??

written without comittment and not engaging at any level
this was really pretty poor and I found it quite hard going. if you are going to have a novel which rests on the taking of revenge or one party getting their come-uppance then the reader really has to care enough to take sides and for the outcome to matter. unfortunately, I could not relate to any of the female characters and Graham and his new floozy were very sketchy characters- it was all witten like the outline for a film and was curiously almost totally devoid of humour or any real warmth for the characters- if the author is not fully engaged the the readers don't stand a chance.suppose the only reason I bought it was because the of the devil wears Prada although I had only seen the film and found even that a bit flawed so suppose the book may have been worse. whatever am unlikely to be trying of her output again

Loved it
I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I have to say I loved the story from start to finish and all the interwoven stories it had heaps of drama lies corruption. I’m not going to give anymore away suffice to say buy it. Totally brilliant plot1 click now you will not be disappointed

Not great, not terrible
This was my first Lauren Weisberger book and I probably started with a wrong one. I knew the characters from the movie, but somehow I feel that something happened in the book(s) before which I'm missing out now - in terms of the traits they present without a lot of explanations. Then, I was slightly bored by the book, I thought it dwelled on too much on certain areas. The story was interesting over all, everyone got their happy end, but I'm not a fan of the characters, so it wasn't amazing for me.

Not your usual chick lit
An easy, entertaining read. The focus is on the power of the women to forge their own lives and the romance is really incidental to the plot. A bit too much female stereotyping for my taste (especially around girls playing with dolls and women focussing on staying thin) but it fits with the characters.
