Perfect for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome sufferers!
I've been looking for a good strong Splint for carpal tunnel. I need a small for right hand and this gives a perfect amount of protection, especially at night. There is enough "give" to still allow me to continue to work (use computer, phone and mouse) but reduces movement where it's needed, I can't do my hobbies though!I've noticed after 3 or 4 days of using this the pain and stiffness dissipates). I'm sure this could be used for other things. It is very comfortable to wear. They are velcro straps, a metal Splint that runs down your palm and wrist, or can push or pull this down to your needs. Remove the metal splint and hand wash. Also note, the thumb area towards the forefinger and soft pad can get sore, so remember to do your exercises and stretch them out (thumb and fingers). The gross part - It's not breathable material so will get sweaty and maybe a bit stinky, please wash.Big thing, it's not expensive like others I have found.Important part though.Durability wise - I have a few points the velcro part isn't sewed on correctly, so isn't flush to the lining, it overhangs and this digs into your palm and the underside of the wrist/forearm, this is highly irritation and causes a red rash. This means you need to carefully trim this or not.Second, I've only had this one week (I don't open and close the velcro tabs a lot. I've only removed for washing it and washing my hands/shower etc) and the seams are starting to fray and pull apart (outside near the thumb velcro. The second fray is on the inside of the support (no velcro). See pictures.I can't see this lasting too long, as this is only 6 days in and maybe it's a reflection of a faulty support or that this is what happens for under £10. I'll update later for any changes. This is a shame as the item is actually very comfy both for day and night wearing.
