It has the pedals included?

No, it is just the Yoke, but it has like two tiny pedals in the yoke that you can control with your thumbs and they work like the pedals.

i purchased this item as a gift for my husband. not knowing what i was doing, i also purchased xplane 10. are these two items compatible?

Yes they are! you won't have to download any CH software for X-plane 10.

Does this work with external Rudder pedals or do I have to use their thumb paddle Rudder pedals?

Either will work. I have the external rudder pedals along with this Yoke and they work great together.

Can you reprogram the prop or mixture lever for use in a twin /jet throttle?

Hello, the only thing i could help you is telling you that you can configure the buttoms to use it like you want, i don´t know how a twin jet works, but the only limitation you have with this joke is the quantity of buttoms, but you can configure to work how ever you want each buttom. The Joke is great, hope i could help you with this information.
