I almost didn't order this based on some of the reviews, but figured what the heck; for this price, if it doesn't work, I'll toss it and chalk it up to experience. It works exactly as expected and unlike others, I had no issues extracting the pieces of foam. They came out easily and clean.So, why not 5 stars?The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me, is that I was expecting it to have a "bottom". That is, the pieces you pull out run the full thickness of the block, so there is no protection on the bottom. Now mind you, it's probably not possible to manufacture it with a bottom, but I was expecting it anyway...All said, now that I know that, I would still buy it along with a thin piece of solid foam to act as my bottom.

Great item. As described. It was easy enough to cut with a knife and use for my needs. I used this to make a custom GoPro storage box which turned out well.The only part which I didnt like was the edge form blocks were usually smaller sized than the ones on the inner. That isnt a big deal but when I wanted to get close to the edge but have enough protection for the camera, I have to leave 2 rows around the ouside which takes up a lot of wasted space when you add up all the cameras.

Item is exactly as described. Material Is well made. I used this as padding for camera lenses in a backpack. As I cut holes to fit, the material retained its shape and did not split or tear. I'd purchase from this vendor again.

Item is just what I needed at a reasonable price. Too bad there is no Prime shipping. I bought a hard sided carry-on, ripped out the liner and put this in. It needed a little modification, but nothing that compromised its function. I now have an affordable secure carry on case for my dive camera (sea life DC-1400 and all accessories)

Works well enough. The grid tearing squares won't get you shape you need without a good thin knife like them old fukitsu knives. Works as well as any foam if you can cut it right.

The squares weren't cut all the way through near the edges. Ended up having to use a box cutter to make the shape I wanted (and a big mess). It works for now but it's not pretty.

These blocks are great for creating custom kits for your electronics. They can be cut, modified and formed to nearly any shape.

don't waste your money, it does pluck out cleanly, I used for my breakdown AR Pistol in a Rigid tool box

Other products such as this work nicely for shaping cavities for transportation, but this stuff falls apart at a mere touch whereas similar products have to be purposefully pulled apart. I used this junk to protect virtual reality equipment, but after several times of inserting and removing the equipment, this stuff fell apart into pieces of packing fluff. It is junk. It was $15 CAD, so instead of returning, I will use it for stuffing when shipping, but it is the most expensive package stuffing that I will ever use. It is definitely not what you want if packing and removing equipment more than a couple of times. It is flawed to the point of being useless for multiple occasions.

Sorry to say it should be called pick n rip.The cuts only go down 1/3 of the way through the foam. When you try to pull them off you simply rip them. Had to use a knife to cut it out, which defeats the purpose of having this style opposed to a full foam block

Came in quicker than anticipated. A couple of the rows were not quite lined up, though, and were a bit harder to pull out and shape. Otherwise, great product.

It is actually really hard to detach the inside foam. For what i wanted to use it for its ok since i use it full size for a damping platform.

Amazing, really good quality foam. I bought it for a case i had, and had to cut it to size, which worked perfectly and was really easy with this foam. The pick and peel on this foam worked like a charm.
