At the moment I have about 50pounds and it's holding up fine

It's pretty sturdy. I use it for my cat's food...so they jump up on it every day. I'm not sure how much a tv weighs though...

What is the height from the bottom shelf to the underside of the top shelf?

It's not very high just a few inches. Not gone so I can't really check at the moment.
