I purchased this paper-coated wire to use as armature in crochet amigurumi figures. My husband measured just the wire with a digital vernier caliper and it measured about 18-19 gauge. It’s flexible enough to bend to the shape I want but seems strong enough to hold that shape until I change it. I can’t rate the sturdiness until I have the chance to actually use it in a project, but will update when I do.

My chair is stronger after repairing it. The metal inside of the thread makes it stronger.
