Well written . Factual information is so much in it. But minute printing errors are there . I found it on page no. 5 , 2nd last line. Year was wronlgly missprinted as 1550. The correct year is 1546 which is present in the next page.

Total 30chapters r there covering every aspect of the subject.. from ancient to modern.. diagrams n pictures add value to the description..Simple words are used for better understanding... For GS not much is needed as is provided in this book but it's a one stop preparation for art n culture section..

I have gone through the book. It is nicely written, and crisp.But some wrong informations are given. In page 442, it is mentioned that "Ayurveda" is the upaveda of Atharvaveda which is wrong.

Content is good but paper quality is so bad.....didn't expect from oxford

Good sources are available in this book....So I liked it very much..
