I have used this crimping tool to make multiple heavy cables for my RV. It works well and I do recommend it.

This is a good quality, simple tool that does the job. It takes a little effort, but if a 76 y/o guy (me) can do it, most everyone can. I'm using 4/0 gauge cable & termanals. Put the terminal in a vice horizontally, insert the stripped end of the cable and support the cable (horizontally) nearby so it does not sag. Then bring the tool upside down from above the termanal, with one handle against your chest, two hands on the opposite handle, then pull towards yourself with both hands. You dont need those expensive crimpers, this works fine.

Works good for copper lugs but dont try it on lead zinc type top post terminal lug, just to hard too to do .

These are hardkore & work very well! Great price, the crimping ability is SOLID & I can tell they will last a long time. They're just bulky enough.

Comes on #1 setting. slightly light ...tried #2...#3...#4.....#3 was perfect for both 2/0 and 4/0...yes it increased handle pressure a bit...but worth it. I have light duty to heavy hydraulic crimping tools , when I want to whip up a quick cable now...I will be grabbing this one. Also, no wings on any setting...this one is a winner.

I did a re wiring job on my boat. Had a cheap hydraulic crimper that I have been using for years. But as I needed a 4/0 crimper I bought this one. Cheap but does really good hex crimps. Crimps looks much better than what the hydraulic one did. I did at least 20 crimps of 4/0. All but one crimp passed my high amp test. (250A) the one that did not pass heated up to 110F. Redid the crimp with the same crimper and it sayed cool. Much easier to use compared to the hydraulic one. Love it. Considering getting another for smaller wires.

works great! requires minimal effort on 1/0 copper terminals. good enough for light production.

Very easy to use but the crimp isn't as tight as I would like. That's my only complaint.

This crimper works better than expected. The only con is that the crimp area is a little narrow, so 2 crimps side by side are needed. Easier to use than a hydraulic crimper.

Works as it should, but crimps are not perfect; see pictures. Almost as if the crimp size is too small? Leaves a small portion un-crimped 90% time. Does not appear to effect bond, but doubt it would pass a thorough inspection.
