Nice model won’t break the bank
Good model for the price easy assembly I have seen some really nice builds of this model on the internet. I am not patient with decals so went my own direction. Thats the beauty of it you can build it however you choose exactly like the motion picture or anything in between

Enterprise 1701-A 2nd design
This was a fun build with very good fitment. Decals are fun to apply. Estimate about 4-6 hours to complete.

Nice model
Pretty nice snap together model. Some of the seams still have gaps after you snap them together so it requires cement and sanding to close them up.

He loved it
I was finally able to get this for my husband, he’s been wanting this model since it came out. He’s finally got it in his collection.

Flawed, but a good enough canvas to build a good ship
The quality of this kit is a bit of a disappointment. The instructions have a couple of errors that list the wrong part number to assemble. Fortunately that's not a big deal as the kit is a fairly simple build with not many parts, so anyone with a minimal amount of model building experience will spot the error and pick the right part. The bigger issue with the instructions is with the decals. There are a LOT of errors giving you the wrong decal number to apply but I'll dive into the decals below. The quality of the parts themselves isn't awful but should be better. The plastic feels cheap and thin. There are a few issues with fit here and there. This isn't a deal breaker as that tends to be the case with many models, but for a snap-together kit, the fit should be better. Speaking of snap-together, my experience with them is that you'll get your best results by using model glue. Without glue I found this model to be a bit "creaky" when assembling. The glue helps make it more of a solid piece. Also, some putty and sanding are necessary if you want to fill in some visible seams to get the best results. Let's talk decals. The included decals are high quality and appear to have everything you could ask for to build any variation of the Enterprise from The Motion Picture through Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Everything, that is, except the Aztec markings, which is an additional purchase. I have mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, it feels like a bait and switch. The box art for this kit clearly shows the Aztec markings, leading the buyer to believe the kit includes all you need to make your model look like the one in the picture. On the other hand, I had previously bought the Aztec decals when building the USS Reliant. The decal set is VERY nice and includes decals for both the Reliant and this Enterprise kit, so I didn't need to buy it again. The Aztec markings have a much starker contrast than they do in the movies, where they're more subtle. It would be nice if Polar Lights rethought those and toned the effect down some by reducing the darker areas to lighter shades. For all the flaws I've mentioned, this isn't a bad kit, it's just not great. And like any model kit, it is what you make of it. You can create a great looking ship with some glue, paint, putty, sanding, and patience. If you opt for the quick route of snapping it together and applying decals, it will look like you snapped it together and applied decals. I've attached photos of my completed build. I think it came out good but I don't think it looks like any on-screen version of the Enterprise, mostly due to the stark contrast of the Aztec decals.

I love you so much

Nothing in or on the box indicates the Aztec panels are not included. The instructions even mention them. Mentioned in product description only. If bought in store there would be no hint of needing to buy Aztec panels separately. Very misleading on the part of Polar Lights. Where do you even buy just a sheet of decals? Ship is flimsy, translucent and cheap plastic without decals. Would not recommend.
