Misleading description: these are not 'arrangements'
First, apologies for the pictures, they were the correct orientation when saved but this page rotated them when uploading. So the cover says "arranged by Brent Robitaille" but these are simply the melody lines of the tunes. A single note melody line is not an 'arrangement'. I can pick out the melody line note by note by myself. What I expect from an arrangement, even a simple one, are at least some accompanying bass notes, a few passing notes as you move through the changes, and the occasional harmony note here and there. The two pictures show a page from this book compared to a page from another book that I have. As you can see in the second pic, it's nothing to complicated, but it does have some easy bass runs and some other harmonizing notes. What's the point of an alternate tuning if you're just going to have the melody line. The whole point of DADGAD surely are the interesting voicings that come from some of the other notes. If it's just single notes then how it's tuned makes no difference really. This is not the first time I've run into this problem. Going to stop buying music books on Amazon unless there is a 'Look Inside' option to see exactly what I'm getting.
