Love it for building/painting Warhammer
Update: it's been almost a year. I've built and painted an entire 2000 point Warhammer army on this thing and still love it. I have it on a nice folding table with a clamped on adjustable light. I am able to work from my couch or a nice chair. If I get uncomfortable I move it to my lap, pull the light over, and keep going. I have no doubt that this thing has helped me be even more productive than without it.Original review: Great for painting and building Warhammer. As some reviews have pointed out, Citadel paint pots do not fit into the spots in the back. This is not a significant problem because the pots do sit very well in the middle 5 spaces as shown in my picture. They are comfortably secure there unless you shake this thing with enough force to cause other problems. The taller pots (shades, technical, etc) do not sit well in them and so I keep those in the back corner spaces where they do fit just fine. The only thing not supported by the tray is my big Citadel water pot, which would take up a lot of precious space anyway. All my thinned and mixed paints go into .5oz containers that fit perfectly in all spots. To anyone that's debating this because you could just use a plastic tray or cardboard: you could do that just fine. But I think after a few months you would start thinking of ways that it could be better: sturdy reinforced build, instructions holder, solid weight, rubber feet, ergonomic lap design, and more. You can save yourself that time and just get this with the (awesome red) cutting mat.

Great product, great layout!
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! He loves doing car models and his stuff was just kind of everywhere so this was perfect for him to become more organized! It holds his paints and glues nicely and has a generous size work space for his model car

Great workstation with one minor adjustment
I would have given this product five stars if the workstation actually sits firmly on a flat surface. It appears this was initially designed to sit on a person's lap over being on a desk or table top. There is a molded grove on the center bottom from front to back, that when placed on a solid surface it wobbles making the product unstable to impossible to use. However, there is a work around I've discovered. I've placed two folded dish towels under the workstation on the left and right sides that help to circumvent the center grove. This has helped create solid workstation that is a pleasure to do my gaming miniature painting on.The other features of the product are ideal. It firmly hold an A4 Modeler's Cutting Mat as advertised. There are plenty of different sized holes for paint brushes and molded cups for water pots and craft paints. I've found that my Army Painter paints do not fit well in these cups, but this is a small inconvenience for me.

Amazingly well made
This workstation is very well built. It is big enough to work on but not too big to be ungainly to use while seated in a comfy chair. The paint bottle holes are not perfect meaning they do not fit multitudes of sizes, but they do not get in the way either.

Excellent Workstation
This is really very useful for working with other Airfix products, especially paints and aerosols.A big plus is that the paints from Airfix gift sets, (the smaller plastic pots of acrylics) fit snugly into the smaller holes. There is a larger space in the middle either for Airfix's cutting board or general painting/gluing and either side of this are gutters which are of great benefit. Place something here and it won't roll off inconveniently and that is always a plus when small parts are involved. This is a very welcome addition for anyone working with Airfix products.

I love building models and unfortunately my studio apartment doesn't allow ...
I love building models and unfortunately my studio apartment doesn't allow for a fancy workbench or desk. So I've reverted to using a small portable folding table as my work bench. Similar to those you use when your having dinner from your couch. I build a ton of 1/72 scale models and when a part falls from my table I either have to go all fours on a search and rescue mission or just let it go, to be lost forever. So, this seemed perfect and after finding out the measurements it fit like a glove on my little table. Only problem is that when you begin filling the space and compartments you begin to realize that you're working area begins to feels very small. Smaller than it looks because it quickly fills with parts, tools, paints and brushes and before you know it you literally have about but a 5x5 inch section of open space. Just enough for your model to sit. On top of this, when painting it has a very awkward feeling due to the side walls. Your arms rest on these sidewalls and it can be very uncomfortable. This station would have been perfect if it were about 1/2 of a foot wider on either side.Positives -1. Keeps things organized.2. No more lost parts when an item slips from my fingers.3. Able to move the entire piece around.Negatives -1. Sidewalls make for an awkward feel when working on the model.2. Paint holders are designed for Humbrol only. Testors,Tamiya and many other paint jars simply do not fit...3. Space fills up very quickly leaving little room to actually work. (obviously)Again, would be perfect if it were about 1 or 1/2 a foot wider on each end. Thanks!

Excellent gift for a miniature painter
Bought this for a friend who paints miniatures but had no fixed space to do it. After watching him move his paint, brushes, and statues from table to couch to desk I figured this would be great for him. He really liked being able to fit everything in one place and move it with ease.Word of warning on sizes of paint jars. He uses all sorts of paint and each company has a different standard size for their paint bottles. I picked this one because the paint slots looked the biggest so I figured he could fit all sizes even if they weren't perfect. If you need one for a certain type of miniature paint consider the size of the jar. You can google the size of the different brands.
