Great stuff for small and medium wood repairs that require gap filling
This stuff's pretty great. I've used it to fill a deep valley in a cracked piece of wood that's part of the base for a recliner, where I wanted extra strength, and to fill some moderate gouges and knocked-off corners in the particle board top panels of a used Workmate 550 portable workbench I got from Facebook Marketplace. This stuff is easy to mix (cut off a hunk from the roll and knead it for a minute or so), is easy to mold into shape using fingers and a plastic razor blade, cures in a couple of hours, and creates a hard, sandable structure. I also discovered that wood filler sticks well to it. It's a light tan, so it will most likely need some paint or other coloring to match the repaired piece. Highly recommended for your tool kit.

Twice the amount at retail stores
Used this product before it really works well and the Amazon tube is twice what the box stores sell for about the same money

worked on a stock
Used this to fix a wood stock on a 100 year old shot gun. There was a chunk of wood missing at the top of the butt plate. I had to rebuild part of the wood. The putty is easy to work with and contour. After drying I was able to sand it. The only issue is the color being a light white color. It wouldn't hold stain so I used a wood scratch marker that worked to hold the color.

I used it to replace missing piece of wood around a door handle. Seems to be very strong with daily use. Very easy to use

Perfect for casting wood appliqués in antique restoration
I’m restoring an antique sewing machine with floral appliqués on the drawers. The wood was so brittle, two broke off and one was missing. I casted the intact one and tried regular wood putty and a vinyl putty since the drawer fronts are curved. Double fail.I remembered using epoxy on a previous project, so I gave this a go. For something as intricate that needed some structural integrity, I covered the intended drawer with plastic wrap and pressed the epoxy putty-filled mold against it to match the curve, then left it to cure.. The difference was night and day. It captured the detail and texture so well, while drying into a solid and stable appliqué, better than the real wood ones.I highly recommend this for this type of project. I used the excess to cast several other missing elements on my other furniture, and made extras for the sewing machine just in case.Make sure you’re not using too much, it’ll have to be shaved/sanded off. Try to get it pressed while it’s still workable. I’d say in 10-15 minutes with the amount I was using, it became harder to mold properly.Overall, I’m very pleased with the result. This product is everything the reviews say it is and more!
The media could not be loaded. This product is everything that people say about it. I am an antique dealer and there have been many many many items I have been able to restore to almost near perfect if not perfect with this product. I’ve used it on plaster. I have used it inside of molds to re-create molding that broke off on picture frames. I have restored a piece of furniture from the 1700s with this product, here is just the latest project that I used quick Wood for it does not have to just be used for wood. It is an epoxy which is sand Able. You can really smooth it out with some tools such as a butter, knife or piece of cardboard lol the world is your oyster with this product..
