These LED bulbs work well as replacements for the halogen bulbs in my Thermador hood. They are brighter and much cooler to the touch. Note that they cannot be dimmed any more as the switch in the hood is designed for higher resistance halogens.Two of the four bulbs started to flash (not flicker) intermittently within a few months. The seller was very responsive and replaced them promptly, no questions asked.

Bought these last July to replace the halogen bulbs in our range hood. The first burned out within a month, the second a couple months later, and now the third is starting to flicker. They should just last longer for the price.

----- Update Oct '20 ---Well, 9 months in, one of the bulbs has started flashing (not flickering) on and off making it impossible to use.Very frustrating to see such short lived life.----- Original review Dec '19 ---Just installed then to replace a couple of filament G9 lamps. As promised, the length and width match. However, and check the attached pictures, this is a faster, round bulb, where the filament were more flat. Also they recess more into the fitting than the filaments. Again, see pictures. This means that it is somewhat tricky to get it into the housing.Once in, and all the way in, it works well. It is also quite bright. In the picture with two lamps, the right is the original filament, the left is the new LED g9.Two of the pictures show length and width and depth. Although fat, it is still in the housing, so the cover can be put back in, which, is Amazon maintains order, pic 4.

I was a little unsure, given the less than stellar reviews. But, these were among the few LED bulbs with a G9 base that was small enough to fit into our Whirlpool vent hood. The great news is they fit perfectly, put off virtually no heat, are very bright, and provide steady light. It makes me think that the guy who had some problems with these might have had the wrong voltage or a wiring problem. I think they might be a bit more in the blue range than we'd like, but I'll give it some time before we make a judgement about that. I can't speak about longevity yet, because I installed them a few minutes ago. If anything goes wrong, I'll update the review and change the star rating.BTW, there are only FOUR in the package. The description says four, but the picture is of five. Not a huge deal, but for the price, they're not the greatest deal. If you have the space for a larger G9 bulb, probably go for those, because they're a lot less expensive for each bulb. But if you need the compact bulb, these seem great so far.

Nice warm spectrum light (color)- no frosty, unwelcoming LED here.Cool to the touch, which is Hugely important because who needs all that extra heat when you’re cooking? (I also may have burned the unholy hellfire out of my fingers when I accidentally touched the original halogen bulbs that came in our vent hood 🤬) So far, so good! Now, let’s see how long they last…

Liked the low-profile size of these and the 24-month warranty. But they started to flicker occasionally after about 18 months, and two out of three just failed....in the 25th month after I installed them.

I have 2 small lamps in my range hood that keep going out. 40 watt halogens that I wanted to replace with LEDs. First I bought some 40w equivalent "corncob" bulbs which wound up being about .25" too long. So I ran down to Ace and bought a pair of 50w halogens (they had 30 & 50, so I went big. Wrong choice. Those things got hot enough inside the housing to burn skin. Then I found these, a 40w equivalent that fits in the housing. These were the perfect led replacement. Good lighting and minimal heat generation.

Most of the G9 base LED are way too long for range hood bulb, this is the few that is actually identical size as halogen. It fits well, installation took like 2 minutes. However, I will be returning them due to it is dimmer than the halogen. People switch to LED for longevity, less power consumption, less heat AND brighter. These are definitely not the 300 lumens as claimed.

Tried all four bulbs and none worked. I was replacing a halogen bulb that still worked so I knew there was nothing wrong with the lamp.

no problem for the daylight but not easy fixed smoothing like fat size ?????? i am not recommend to any body light not strong
