Laurence King Bug Bingo

We bought this game for Christmas for my sister who is a lover of all things nature, an avid birder, and possessor of more trivia of the natural world than should be legally allowable! This game has participated in many, many holiday celebrations, family gatherings, vacations, and neighborhood get togethers. We have had championships where a trophy (a collapsable bug toy that belongs to the champion until he or she is dethroned) is awarded to the Bingo Champion. Since my sister is so knowledgeable, the game is so very interesting and funny when all of her anecdotes are added for extra interest. Subsequently we have purchased Bird Bingo and my research shows that there are now multiple renditions such as Monkey, Tree, Ocean, Dinosaur, Endangered Species, Australias Deadly Species, Dog, Cat, and other Bingos just waiting to unleash their amusing but effective version of higher learning. These are great fun and educational family activities where the children do not even realize they are learning. Hours upon hours of fun are hidden in these wonderfully outstanding permutations of the classic Bingo.The game is well constructed of quality materials that are sturdy, beautifully illustrated, and all inclusive of the traditional Bingo paraphernalia needed to play the game. Up to twelve (there are twelve cards) can play leaning about 64 members of the insect world from the rare and bizarre to the common and everyday. The board is brightly colored and folds and unfolds into a square making carrying here and there quite easy. Each bug is drawn and placed on top of the matching square of the main board while each player puts the token over the bug if it is on their card. A cloth bag is chocked full of round tokens to cover the B-I-N-G-O squares. The game is accompanied by a small booklet providing interesting, factual information on each insect. Quite possibly one of the most fun and informative Bingo style games out there! The artwork is phenomenal and after just a few games, you start to remember the looks of all the birds. After playing many rounds, you know what they look like in your head. Then, when you're out in the wild, your friends will be astounded when you can spot an "American kestrel" from 50 yards. Honestly though, this game is hours of fun (each game lasts about 20 mins, but you'll want to play more than one) and it's super family-friendly!

I found this cute game in an expensive gift store and quickly looked on Amazon to see if I could order it. I found that the price was much less ordering from Amazon and it is a super well made, beautiful game. My two grandsons, ages 4 and 6, love to play. We've been playing Bug Bingo (Also bought Bird Bingo) for two years with them. They have learned so many skills from playing this game and we always have a lot of fun. They have learned to identify most of the bugs by the beautiful pictures. The game is extremely well made and durable and comes packaged in a beautiful box. The game pieces are all very well made and have no signs of wear and tear after many games. This game will last for years and it makes an excellent gift for a fun family activity. Children don't have to be able to read to play and enjoy it.

Beautiful and realistic illustrations in this line of bingo games. My kids love them, great for education; we bought this and ocean version for homeschooling, but kids ask to play them all the time. Kinda pricey, but SO worth it if in your budget!

This game is very simple, but you’re left staring at the components anyway. The board is lovely, there’s a great bag with a beautiful print to hold the pieces, the pieces are thick and durable. The only fault is the bingo “chips” are basically just paper, but those are easy to replace with anything you want to use.I have used this for the insect study in my homeschooling; it has a list of all the bugs and facts about them that I can read while we play.

A great gift for the three-year-old birthday. We thought he would be too young but the parents say that the little one wants to play it all the time. A big hit, and good for learning.

I love this game so much and so do my young boys (4/3/3).It’s educational while also being fun! They often ask to play it and love seeing who can fill their card first or get a straight line for bingo!

Great game for kids and grown ups to play together. Takes a good 45min to an hour and is hugely enjoyable. Lovely images and quality of paper and printing is great.
