This is the 2nd set of Remote control plugs from DEWENWILS, I already have the triple set but just needed a double for the bedside lamps in my spare bedroom. They are so convenient and take seconds at the end of the night to turn everything off before retiring. I did add a pack of 23A 13A batteries as a spare but tbh i have had my triple set for a few years and haven't yet had to replace the battery. I would highly recommend this Brand.

The plug works perfectly and is used to switch a fan which draws ~160watts remotely. This has no issues with the load and makes a audible click when the relay switches the plug on or off. The mounting plate makes installation onto a wall simple and easy and the form factor of the switch matches that of a US light-switch; a bit large in my oppinion but would fit well alongside a hue switch or simlar. The plastic of the switch feels a bit cheep and the click is not the most positive hence the 4 star review.

This is my 3rd socket, they are so convenient. I use one the summer to switch on/ off bedroom fan, but in winter for my all the table lights around my home. So easy to set up, attach plug to control socket and go. Small and simple so not protruding near furniture.

Having purchased a Bluetooth transceiver to accompany my new wireless headphones, I also then needed a power plug because the transceiver whilst having a power cable, did not come with it's own plug. This was then purchased from Amazon and then I set about emptying my hifi cabinet of all my seperates and several hundred vinyl albums to lighten it sufficiently to be able to get at the powerpoint hidden behind. However, having set everything up and returning all of the cabinets fillings, I then found that I could see the bright LED light upon the new power plug which was quite annoying and reminded me also that whilst it was only using a miniscule amount of power, it was, nonetheless, consuming power! So I went back to Amazon to find myself some remote controlled plugs because there was no way that I was going to be pulling the cabinet apart every time I used the hifi to switch the power on or off and was actually amazed to see how many varieties there were. After looking at plenty, I eventually whittled it down to the Dewenwils 13 amp remote controlled plugs (pair) as they certainly had a healthy review rating made over many thousands of ratings....and am I happy? You betcha! After trying them out and seeing that they were not "line of sight" it made their installation behind my hifi cabinet an absolute must because once installed I could actually turn off the power to the pair of extension cables individually too. Brilliant! Easy to install and easy to work and now I am going to purchase more so that all the items in the house which are consuming power when on standby and where it is difficult to actually turn off the power without moving furniture will then be attached to a remote controlled plug. Fully recommended to any household consuming power unnecessarily in these cost and environmentally- conscious times particularly where turning off such items is not easy or require the moving of furniture each and every time!
