The Family Tree Scottish Genealogy Guide: How to Trace Your Ancestors in Scotland

No Ulster Scots-Irish
BEWARE: Upfront is A Brief History of Ulster Scots, or Scots-Irish insert. Seems this Scottish Genealogy Guide is only for ancestors who emigrated directly from Scotland. The references to Scot-Irish Genealogy lead one to the Family Tree store and additional costs.

Does not read fast - not a quick fix book.
This is the second country specific book I have purchased from Family Tree. Like the German one the first half of the book deals wth history details I either forgot or were never covered in my education. Interesting and necessary for some of the rest of the book. The how-to last half is by definition filled with details on using the many different sources about different records that might help. The inclusion of the history part now made a bit more sense. I did not get a free review book like some of the other reviewers so I am a paying consumer not a complementary reviewer. Was a good Christmas present for my Wife with the Scottish ancestry.

A Grand book to help you find your Scottish ancestors.
Finding Scottish ancestors can be difficult if you don't know where to begin. This book helps take the, "Where do I begin?" question out of your fears and helps guide you through the maze that is, Genealogy.
