Nerf Modulus Long Range Targeting Upgrade Kit

This is the first edition of a new on-line document developed by the RUSA CODESMaterials Reviewing Committee in 2003/2004. Its primary purpose is to guide librarianswho wish to become reviewers on the elements that make up a good review; in addition,it warns about elements to avoid. Its secondary purpose is to help library selectorsrecognize elements that define a good review. Finally, it may serve the needs of authorsand publishers by demonstrating how reviews in professional library trade journals arewritten. For all three audiences, it offers an overview into the reviewing process.Reviews serve multiple purposes for library selectors, publishers, authors, students, andscholars. Library selectors use reviews to make informed decisions concerning thepotential usefulness of an item for their clientele, to compare like items, to choose oneitem over another (or to choose not to purchase an item), and to justify the purchase anddefend the appropriateness of an item for a library collection. Reviews in somepublications (such as Library Journal) are written for a library audience; the purpose ofsuch reviews is not only to evaluate the quality of a specific item but also to assess how itmay fit into an academic, public, school, or special library collection. Selectors may alsouse reviews for reader’s advisory and for program planning (such as book or film clubs).Publishers and authors may use reviews to promote sales, to improve existing products,and to develop future products. Scholars and students may use reviews to track andevaluate publishing trends as well as related cultural and social changes.Reviewers should be qualified to judge the reliability and validity of facts presented inmaterials that they evaluate, to compare such materials to similar works, and to determinewhether such materials provide a greater understanding of a specific subject.Consequently, reviewers should have a solid academic background and/or strongpersonal or professional interest in the subject of the materials examined. Fictionreviewers should have an extensive background and/or a keen interest in literature.Reviewers need to schedule sufficient time and obtain appropriate equipment (such as aCD player for music recordings or a DVD player for films) to examine and write aboutmaterials. The barrel and scope are great. I have tested them many times becausethe barrel on the inside the lines are swirly so the barrel increases the accuracy and range of the dart.The scope is pretty accurate and its really good at lining things up its also good for blasters were the barrel is closer to the top of the gun . As for the stand I do not really have any use for it but it is a nice feature because it could be used as a grip or stand for the blaster.They also make the blasters look cooler.

A teen's review:This set is awesome. I've had my eye on this for years. Overall, the idea of this kit is great. I've wanted to buy a Nerf gun and part it out. With this kit, I did not need to destroy a gun. These attachments are high quality and impressive.The scope clicks on well, it stays on well, improves your aim.The bipod is slightly flimsy but effective. It gets the job done and folds up when you don't need it.The barrel is effective - it looks sweet and it is more effective than the Retaliator barrel.

The Nerf Modulus Long Range Upgrade Kit is great. The only flaw is that it was not specified that this is for the big modulus gun, not the recon blaster. You can still put the scope and the barrel on the recon blaster but the stand will not fit onto the bottom of the recon blaster. It would have been nice before spending the money on a bundle to know that. I would have gotten the two that do work for it separately. Overall, though, as long as you are using this pack on the right gun, it is a good savings and a great product. the laser works very well, and is decently accurate. my kids dont care that it is not for the recon blaster, the guns we have, they like putting the mods onto the sides and being crazy with them, so not a waste.

I love having Nerf bullets all over our house. I love stepping on them in the middle of the night, during the day and especially first thing in the morning. Most importantly (and seriously), I love that my son's expression on Christmas morning was that I would win "Mommy of the Year" award for the rest of his life and I could do no wrong. Fast forward, 2 hours later and I'm trying to get him to eat veggies and now I'm the worst mommy ever. Such is life. Fun toy, I especially love shooting Nerf bullets/grenades/rockets at my kids (and sometimes husband) when they don't do what I ask them to do the first time I ask them to do it (parent's you know what I'm talking about).

I couldn't beat this price for the nerve gun that my son specifically asked for. It came in a plain brown cardboard box and the attachments (I added on) were in separate open-faced boxes. It doesn't come with the batteries needed to shoot but I had those on hand. My son was THRILLED to say the least. This little thing is very powerful. Side note - if you have a pet that's easily spooked..prep your child to play with it outside. The noise can be a bit grating and my dog is terrified of it!

I was under the impression this was compatible with the tri-strike; it can be but, you lose a major piece in order to force it or make it compatible. We would have to take off a part that actually makes the tri-strike a well "tri", the barrel that shoots the four whistlers/single shooter and replace it with a single barrel (sold separately from this set) just to get the stand. Then if you want the scope you with have to take off the huge air launcher on top. In my personal opinion it's not worth decommissioning nearly the whole modulus tri-strike to accommodate these features. If you want to strip the whole gun go at it but it no longer is a "tri" if just becomes like every other single shooter nerf gun. The product itself is good and I feel they should have put this in the description that you would have to buy other parts and take many off just to add these which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. And if you only own the modulus not the trick-strike modulus this works perfectly!
