This volume systematically introduces the student to various strategies for shifting from the first to the third position (and back again). It is easy to follow and has one or more examples of pieces in the literature that use each strategy.

I am really enjoy each and every one of these books. I had them when I was in School, My Son learned from them when He was in School. Start with book 1 and work your way up. Go Slow.
