Just what I needed
After 20 years the old floor guides for the closet doors had become brittle and a couple of the guides had cracked off, so bought this to keep my doors on track -literally. Works great, easy to replace existing.

If only.....
Wanted to use these as guide reinforcements for his heavy hanging closet doors that the kids always feel the need to pull out on rather than slide. Unfortunately there wasn't enough clearance between the floor and his doors for them to fit. Had to return them.

Missing Screws
I ordered two of these and both packets were missing one of the two screws that should have come with it. Poor instructions.

Solid built. A good purchase. Will last decades
I was blown away by the expensive price of the cheap plastic guides with hollow vertical guides. The plastic ones have a nasty habit of breaking when they are installed on carpet. They are not solid and break when flexed by the anchor screws when installed in carpet. When I spotted this one that was metal for a lower price than the plastic ones, my spider sense tingled.Their packaging shows that this is adjustable for various door thickness. But I just could not see it in the photos. So I grabbed a micrometer and double checked the thickness of the doors.All indications were that even if these are not width adjustable, it shouldn’t be a problem.I ordered one. It is well built with a solid metal base. The guides appear to be Mylar. This combination should make them last decades.There is no flex when installed on top of carpet. I very pleased with this for guide.I suspect that the pricing is the result of a slight error when they packaged as they are not adjustable.But if you don’t need adjustability, then stop looking and get your order in. You won’t find anything better.
