From where can I get and which hardware to install them ?

Amazon has the hardware to install. I am going to glue mine to the wood around the bottom of my creation.

Can these be cut about an inch without ruining the design? I need 5" legs

Yes, they are solid wood. I ordered the 8 inch in anticipation of cutting them to fit.
