These things work and they work well. I couldn't be happier with this Knipex product.

I recently purchased the KNIPEX CoBolt XL Compact Bolt Cutter (7101250) to replace my old Masterforce bolt cutters, which were a real pain (literally) to use when cutting steel electric fence wire. I couldn’t be happier with the upgrade! Cutting Performance: These bolt cutters cut through the same steel electric fence wire like butter — with far less hand strain and effort than my old pair. I immediately noticed how smooth and clean each cut was. It feels like KNIPEX put a lot of engineering into the leverage and cutting edge. Ease of Use: The handles are comfortable and require surprisingly little force, even on tougher wire. With my old Masterforce cutters, I’d feel it in my hands and wrists after a few cuts — with the KNIPEX, I can work much longer without discomfort. Build Quality: These cutters feel very solid and well-made, as you’d expect from KNIPEX. After cutting several lengths of fence wire, I did notice some faint marks on the blades where I made the cuts. I’m hoping this is normal and not an early sign of wear, but so far they cut just as cleanly as when I first took them out of the box. Overall: If you’re frustrated with cheap or uncomfortable bolt cutters and want something that makes cutting wire practically effortless, I highly recommend these. They’re a bit more expensive than budget brands, but the difference in quality and comfort is worth every penny. Pros: ✅ Cuts steel fence wire easily, with minimal force ✅ Comfortable handles, no more hand pain ✅ High build quality, solid feel Cons: ❌ Slight blade marks after cutting wire (time will tell how they hold up) ❌ On the pricey side compared to budget options Final Verdict: 5 stars — these are now my go-to tool for cutting wire. Highly recommended if you value your hands and want clean, easy cuts every time.

Everything Knipex is fantastic. High quality, cuts easily, and seem very durable.

Nice handheld wire cutter. Not sure I would cut bolts with this but did a nice job on some heavy galvanized wire cages.

Excellent quality, Knipex never fails. Designed well, and the extra 2” in the 10” version is worth the $15 more. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. (Also I cut clips off of ancient barbed wire fence all day and my hand rarely or never hurts because of it.

This is an amazing tool. I have used it to cut nails out of an old deck and even managed to cut a few screws. It is remarkably heavy duty. Don't be put off by its size. Worth the price!

I've never regretted paying a bit more to get something that I knew, when needed, it would do what it needed to do! Bought these for musky fishing - to cut the hooks out of a musky's mouth if it is necessary to save the musky. With musky fishing, nothing matters more than a proper and safe release of the fish. I've used these cutters all but one time so far! To cut two stainless steel hooks - the one stuck in the mouth of the northern pike, the other to cut the other hook on the same lure out of my hand! Of course, I figured it would be wise to cut the hook still in the Pike's mouth first! I figured, at least I could see just how tough of a cut that was going to be? These Knipex cutters went through that hook with ease! We were able to release that fish within 90 seconds of boating it - no revival necessary - it swam away with good speed upon being released. The other part of the lure, still embedded in my hand (fortunately went in one area and came out - barb and all - a second area of my hand) was cut free as well. Zero pain during the cutting process. Simply lined up the cutters, gave a good, single squeeze, and the hook was cut in two. No cranking on the handle to get it to go through, no partial cut - adjust - cut the rest of the way through. This is simply one of the tools, that when you need it, for your wellbeing or that of a beautiful fish - YOU JUST DON'T WANT TO TRUST SOME CHEAP CHINESE MADE KNOCK OFF PRODUCT THAT SIMPLY WON'T PERFORM RELIABLY. What I've found, when one's health and wellbeing is at stake, you simply never want to be stuck with a Chinese made knock-off product determining the outcome. If you are looking at these for fishing, for your safety and that of large fish, this is one area that you don't want to buy cheap Chinese crap that will not work properly.

I have numerous Knipex tools now, tending towards better quality tools as I age. I almost, almost cheaped out and bought a pair that would probably have worked for 1/3 the cost but I decided to treat myself. I'm glad I did. I'm taking down all the old field fencing on the interior of my property, leaving the perimeter fencing. I've been making do with some other fencing pliers I have but it's been a struggle. These came in today and a quick test shows them to be a superior product. They cut through the fencing like butter. My old arthritic hands personally thanked me. I'm probably looking at a couple of thousand cuts so it really is money well spent. My heirs won't miss it much.

As expected

Muy pequeña pero funciona muy bien

Work well😊

They cut through anything you can fit in them. vary well made.

One of those tools that just feels right in your hand. Solid, well crafted and excellent hi-leverage design that performs as well as cutters that are much larger. Cuts through 16D nails like butter.
