ATV TekPro Series Rider Dust Mask (Tan/Black)

I've tried countless other masks, and had pretty much given up hope (and all I wanted was a mask to stop dust, dirt, and exhaust fumes, as all I do is ride a bicycle in the city, and some rural areas!) Since I have a large dome, I could find NOTHING that would work (ESPECIALLY since I need one that will let me breath heavily, as there are many STEEP hills [mountains] where I live,) Other masks had 'filters' you needed to change every so often, and the filters would make me feel like I was taking a deep breath through a pillow! I could BARELY breath while I was standing still, much less while I was moving! Enter this mask: not only can I breath well under pressure while climbing a steep hill, it's washable, and I don't have to constantly re-order more filters that I can't breath through anyway, and it's even big enough to be comfortable to wear! Another plus, is that it's wind proof as well! Not just wind resistant, but wind PROOF! Especially helpful when it's cold outside! As for the reviewer that said this doesn't fit/isn't comfortable, there are elastic cords on each side you can pull over your ears to keep it from pulling down on your nose. I know how uncomfortable that can be!

UPDATE: *** I ended up with the new 2.0 version of this mask. It includes elastic bands that loop over your ears for added support. This feature made all the difference in the world. The mask stays properly postioned on the face and and neck area. A winner in my book !!!! ***My original post follows:I really do like that this mask does a good job to keep out a large amount of the fine Arizona dust, however for some odd reason I can not seem to adjust the bendable nose piece to keep it from sliding down my nose and then causing the strap to slip down my neck also on the original version. I am a rather large person (over a 19 inch neck), and have tried using the mask with the velcro extension and without. I have tried bending the nose piece in many configurations also. In order to actually keep the mask in place I have had to press it tightly to my nose and tighten the neck velcro which ends up being uncomfortable. As a note I actually purchased 2 of these masks....(one being a regular size) and it fits pretty well on my son's face. It's a keeper !!.

I had one of these previously that I lost/misplaced. I believe I had a large before, but it was a little too small. I ordered a XL this time and it is OK but a little large. I had a few tries to get the metal cinch-plate on the nose to fit properly without sticking up into my line of sight. I use this for winter biking and active sports. The cupped face and nose vents allow for easy breathing even under extreme exertion. The mask exhausts well while preventing hot air from escaping up towards the eyes. This reduces or eliminates glasses and goggles from fogging. The cupped masks allows exhalations to warm cold inhalations making it very comfortable in the winter.

I use this mask in my work as a lawn care tech. I cut a lot of foreclosures, and the combo of my mower being very powerful and the patchy, dirt-filled yards can really kick up some dust. I was suffering badly until I got this mask. Works like a charm. With this and my goggles on I go through the dust clouds like they aren't even there. I can't testify as to its comfort during long periods of use, however. Most of my cuts are done in 10 to 15 minutes. Very comfortable over short durations. Good mask!

This dust mask, does a decent job of blocking out dust but it's not perfect; it doesn't fit very well around the nose. Do keep in mind that my face is more than likely shaped differently from yours, so it may work for you. I like it, because my breathing isn't laborious like the masks I've used in the past.

It appears the best I can get but I question the integrity of the diaphragm, they don’t seat tight on the seat when at rest. I looks like they would leak dust into the mask when breathing in

My husband uses this mask to keep the Arizona dust at bay when he and the Dusty Bunch ride Arizona's mountain trails on their side-by-sides. Hankerchefs aren't enough in this dry climate.

I'm currently located at a windy and super dusty desert environment. This dust mask is fantastic. I was at first hesitant to purchase this b/c i didn't want to look like Bane but it isn't really that goofy looking. I like the fact that i's washable and you can form the nose piece to conform to you facial contours.I recommend this product.
