Can i use the shell holders that come with lee die set to deprime or i need this?

regular shell holders won't work, you need the ones shown. They work in the auto prime press or the hand held primers.

does it work with a hornady progressive press?

The way it works, it should with a lee auto drum or auto disk.

Will this set work with the Safety Prime?

The set with the lugs on the bottom to use on a press are in a green box, these are only for the hand primers. I use the hand primer exclusively since I purchased it and find it much more convenient than priming in the press and would never give up my Lee Auto Prime hand primer. Hand priming is so much faster and more convenient. Hope this helps.

Will these work in a lyman press?

Yes, it says right on the detailed description it will work with any press with the upward priming function.
