I read the reviews before purchasing this product and I must admit I was a little hesitant. I am very glad that I went ahead and took a chance. My daughter is turning 5 and wanted a "princess" pirate party. I really want the kids to be able to dig for lost treasure. I bought two packs and my biggest complaint is that I only received 11 gems in one pack and 12 in the other. I can't wait to watch the kiddos dig through the sand to find their lost treasure! Great product! They are big enough for small hands and the colors are fine! I would purchase them again.

For my purpose these gems are amazing! We are using them as a potty training incentive. My daughter gets pirate treasure or a gem to put into her treasure chest after each success.So you see for my purpose they are great! The colors are vibrant they are a good size, id say close to a ping pong ball. I haven't paid much attention to any scratches or anything.

Colorful and fun. Was exactly what we were looking for in a stocking stuffer to go with our daughters 'Jewels'. The edges are a little rough, but wear down quickly and if you are worried about it you can just use a dry washcloth to smooth them over. The colors were bright, size was bigger than I expected and better than I hoped. The only thing that would make these better is if you could pick the colors.

Bought these for my nephew’s treasure chest - he loves them.They are not great for diving pool toys (they can disappear in color in water.

These are perfect pirate gems. my kid is still carrying them around in his pocket a week after his BDay party. We used them for the Earth Element for our Skylander’s Party. Kids had to dig for prisms in some sand - which I put in a water table. These look as they do in the picture. Perfect shape and size. Wish I ordered more or they came in a bag of larger quantity though. (Restore the Eternal Earth Source, harvest these incredible gems with powerful energy to help you protect Skylands. Leave prisms for other Skylanders to find by keeping only your favorite one. Watch out for the sand sharks!)

I bought these to decorate the table at my son's pirate themed birthday party like treasure (guests were ages 2-5). I was disappointed when I received the package because the jewels were SO small. The way they are photographed I thought they would be larger and I couldn't tell from the description how big the individual "stones" would be. Ultimately it is my fault for not researching them better but just a "heads up" that these are about the size of a nickel or dime. My 3 year old still sticks weird stuff in his mouth so I was not going to put these anywhere near him. I gave them to my neighbor's 7 year old daughter who hot glued them to a jewelry box so they still went to good use!

second set of these. my girls play with them all the time. great size and quality, not cheap and easy to break.
