I can say that this was a good purchase. I am highly satisfied because I am ...
I have been a user of the traditional iPod headphones for years. When I accidentally put my 7 year old headphones through the wash, it was just too much for them...and so they died a tragic death. I simply looked up running headphones on Amazon to replace them and bought these after looking through a few others. Having had them for a few days now, I can say that this was a good purchase. I am highly satisfied because I am a regular runner and they have yet to fall out of my ears. The sound quality is pretty average to me, but due to the shape of the earbud and rubber exterior it has some sound canceling capabilities (which is nice if you're in a noisy gym). It came with a small pouch to carry the earbuds in when not in use, a small black clip that can be used to help keep the cord from dangling too much if it annoys you, and three sizes of rubber ear buds (S, M and L). I'm a tiny, 5' 2 woman and the medium size works just fine for me. The cord is nice and thick so it looks as if it'll last quite some time too, which is good. If you're looking for superior sound quality look elsewhere, but overall it was a great deal for the price and for what I received. Two thumbs up!

Quality Purchase
I purchased my first set of Philips earbuds in 2015 for use during workouts and outdoor projects of all varieties. Despite being subjected to the abuse that comes with the territory of the aforementioned activities, these earbuds have lasted far beyond the point where others have failed. I attribute their longevity to quality design and construction, but also to the fact that I kept up with cleaning and maintenance (headjack reinforcement and wire jacket repairs commensurate with the age and frequent use of the product). I suppose my only criticism would be that I'm not fond of the stock ear caps and prefer to use molded earpieces. However, I have noticed that the stock ear caps, while not providing as secure a fit, do seem to allow for richer bass tones than my current earmolds.Given the age of my earbuds, I decided to preemptively purchase a backup pair in order to ensure that the product did not potentially go out of production by the time I needed a replacement. In alternating between the new pair and the 6 year-old pair, there was no discernible difference in sound quality, which I believe speaks volumes about the quality of the product. Overall, I feel I've definitely gotten my money's worth, and would readily recommend this product to anyone seeking durable and quality earbuds for a low price.

Comparison to stock Apple earbuds
PROS: Sigificantly better sound quality than the earbuds which Apple packs with iPhones and iPods, especially much better bass level. These fit better, are more comfortable, and stay in place better when running, jogging or just moving around in general. The package includes two additional sizes of caps for the earbuds, for people with larger or smaller ear canals. The cord is longer than Apple's, and there is a sliding clip which you can adjust along the length of the cord to secure it to your belt, collar or the like. Nice when jogging, cycling etc., It helps to keep the earbuds in place.CONS: Durability is a problem. I keep buying these units for their superior sound quality at their price point, but I am on my fourth set of these in six or seven years. All three of my previous sets failed at the input jack -- evidently, the daily motion of life wears out the junction between the wire and the headphone jack. Each time, the earbuds would lose one channel intermittently, which I could fix by fiddling with the wire, and then it would progress to the the point where only the one channel would be heard. So then into the trash...There is no microphone and there are no device controls. These are plain earphones.Beside that, the only other possible negative I can speak to will depend on your devices -- unlike Apple's earbuds, these have a right-angle jack. Apple's and most other ear buds have a straight jack. I prefer the right-hand because it doesn't stick up as much when my phone is in a pocket, but some thick phone cases don't provide quite enough clearance for the right-hand jack to fit into. So if you're using a heavy, shockproof case, these earbuds may not work.

Cheaply made and ill-fitting
I had high hopes for these headphones as they seem to combine what I like about older-style solid plastic earbuds and more modern rubber/silicone earbuds. In reality, there are NOT an ideal replacement for the now discontinued perfect fit Sony MDR-E10LP for me. There is a small plastic tab that is under the cover but still irritates the ear on the front edge of the earbud as it sits in the ear. The hard plastic under the rubber top isn't at all molded to fit the ear and could stand to have a little additional shaping to form the rubber more fully. Additionally, when trying to move the earbud around in my ear (to attempt an annoyance-free fit), the teal straight part that attaches the cord to the earbud twisted off with almost no torque applied. These are cheap and would need a VERY gentle touch, if they even work for you in the first place. The only plus is the small clip that you can use to attach the cord to your clothing to keep it out of the way. I had to throw away the headphones but the clip is very handy and now sits on my Sony MDR-E10LPs that I am hoping last as long as possible.
