my first racing game and its amazing
after years of playing battle after battle, war after war, shooting and killing anything that shot back or sometimes even if they didnt,ha..blowing up everything in sight with total destruction i needed a change..so now im learning racing, this game has got class, its not a crappy 2 bit race game with cheap graphics and dull boring races..most wanted is exactly what it says, the cars are classy and look very real..the first thing i did was rev up the engine with the bracks on then released them and did a major burnout about a hundred feet long, the car actually left rubber on the asphalt,ha..if you crash and burn you can pull into a garage and bam,all fixed up,its hard to steer at high speed, takes getting used to..im just starting so not much to tell except this game has got real class and graphics are awesome so be prepared with a power hungry graphics card as the game is very demanding

Piece of crap
I would consider myself a racing veteran. If a game features cars i've probably completed it. From sims like the Forza series to Gran Turismo to iRacing to Race07 etc etc. I've played nearly every arcade racer from the PGR series/Blur/GRID/TDU2/Mario Kart ;) etc etc etc. I love racing games...I didn't bother buying NFS:The Run after reading the terrible reviews that came with its release. After this latest Most Wanted came out to great reviews i figured what the hell, must be alright...Wrong.I'd been pondering buying this game for the full $40 most sites were charging, im kind of happy I only paid $20 on sale (Would rather have the option of returning my key and getting a refund tbh). Though if gamers had that option it wouldn't take long for certain companies to go bankrupt. It took about 20 seconds into the game to crash the Aston Martin they first stick you in... Im steering left, the corner ends, i steer out, car goes the other way and KABLAM, my poor virtual driver would be dead. What the hell i think, if the car was drifting that would make sense. It wasnt drifting. So the game resets my car and within 30 more seconds im back to totaling the car again. Somehow the car manages to cross 4 huge lanes of traffic steering worse than a butterfly on heroin (First thing that comes to mind) I'm playing with an Xbox 360 control on a TV and the handling is ABSOLUTE garbage. I've played free indie games that work better than this...So i figure, i've paid $20 dollars for this, I'll play it till the end. I get to my first race and low and behold, the handling gets WORSE. How you might ask? Well when the game drops from the smooth 60fps its initially running at and bounces from 30-60fps its near impossible to play... I figure maybe its a crossfire issue so i disable that... Same problem. Im running a 5.5ghz Ivy Bridge CPU with Radeon 7970s on a 1080p TV playing this and im getting performance issues... I've now tested this on my other machine featuring an Nvidia GPU and its the same story. After googling "need for speed most wanted performance issues" its seems running like crap is what the game does well as im not alone. If it runs well for you im glad, but it shouldn't run like crap on my machine. Im using Afterburner and as the framerate drops the GPU load drops off... Normally a sign of a CPU bottleneck... Nope... CPU usage is purring along at around ~30% usage... Bad drivers? Bad Port? Both maybe. I dont know. removing my overclocks doesn't help. Dont want to jump on the "terrible port" bandwagon but...I play on for about another half an hour starting to enjoy laughing at how bad the game runs/handles, then looks (No Anti Aliasing options for PC users, yuck). Luckily i'm then saved from having to play it more by my kids coming home... MAYBE EA might release a patch, maybe new drivers might come out. Sadly these wont help with the terrible handling. When my kids go back to sleep ill give it another go, the game has the V8 Ariel Atom in it, I like that car ;). Thats probably the only reason ill flash it up again though.Be VERY VERY careful if your thinking about buying this and you dont have unlimited money. I dont think i've ever played a game and within half an hour wanted to backhand someone at the company who made it then throw the game back in their face (Lucky its digital so i cant eh). At least i can post this review and possibly save someone else from wasting their money.I feel bad for saying this as people have put hard work and time into it, but AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Good for cruising
I'm not going to write a big long drawn out review - if you want one of those, look on IGN or Youtube, you'll find a thousand. Most Wanted has some top notch graphics, nice cars, and intense races. I enjoy it, but then again I've picked up most of the previous Need for Speed games and enjoyed them too.The only downside to this game is that, just like Hot Pursuit, every time you crash or hit a wall... you are taken out of the action in the form of a crash cutscene. The first couple times it's freaking cool and awesome, but after the 500th time it really just breaks up the pacing of the game and makes you frustrated.Would I recommend this game? Yes... but not at retail price. Pick it up on a huge discount, maybe for 20 bucks (less if you can find it) - I paid like 20 for mine on the Black Friday sale in 2012, and that's all this game is really worth.
