This is a well built product - and it comes with a 20 year parts replacement warranty. The Ice melted in my area before I was able to use my Automatic Fisherman AFB Base. I have set it up and dry tested it with my (Frabill 371 Straight Line Bro Medium Light Combo 28" Ice Rod and Real) and it appears to work with little effort. YouTube shows the Automatic Fisherman AFB Base working really well. I plan to attach the base to my boat and see how well it works in open water. I have 3 of them, they work great for perch. only down side is fishing sub-zero temps.

Incomplete
Don't buy it if you plan to use it freezing temperatures. Ya I know it is an ice fishing rig, you have to get an ice stopper and antifreeze solution or your ok your line will freeze. The dipstick who sells them says this one listed is the basic model. Have to extra to actually be able to use it. By the way he also sells cars without wheels. 😂

I have only used it so far for Northern and Walleyes. Seems to work. Hardest part is finding a rod that will work with it.
