Nano S1 Air Pump

Pumps down to 2 feet very easily. Very quiet. The sound the bubbles make is easily louder than the pump itself, provided the pump is not touching anything except with its suction cup.Pros:-Very quiet-Very small and compact-good, but short, tubing with airstone includedCons:-well, not enough to knock a star since this is a common gripe about electronics with me, but the plug could be designed a little better as to not obstruct surrounding outlets on a powerstrip. It's narrow, but if the power strip is like this: '.' '.' '.' '.' and the outlets are bunched, it will block at least one other plug even if it's at the end of the strip. If the outlets are rotated 90 degrees then it will work fine.-they should make a bit more powerful one with two nozzles.

This pump was intended to 'power' a sponge filter in a 10 gallon shrimp tank, i.e very little bioload. The flow provided by the pump was really insufficient, if you are thinking of splitting it between air stone and a sponge filter - then forget that altogether. And this is for a standard 10g tank. I had to return this product, got Tetra Whisper pump which is super quiet and has a MUCH better flow. I think it might work just fine for a really tiny tank. As to the noise, it is about the same as whisper pump.

I have been using this pump for my small 5 gallon tank in my office. It is quieter than other pumps I have used but certainly not as quiet as others claim it is. I can still hear it and I sit about 6 feet away. So, for the price I guess it is just ok. I like that it suctions cups to the back of the tank so it isn't vibrating all over the place. However I don't like how loud it is.I bought mine 7 months ago and suddenly today it started making a horrible racket and vibrated itself off the tank. Up until now I really liked it.

It's tiny and quiet but nowhere silent. It's a standard peristaltic pump in a tiny welded case. It's very convenient, especially for my small tanks. A great benefit for people that use air driven filters (box or sponge) since you can mount the pump on the tank and disconnect the air line quickly. Great pressure but low volume and on bad days, it's louder than a whisper 100. It is indeed more quiet than the bubbles than it produces but in a quiet room, bubbles are very loud. The performance is on par with other pumps I have that are similar in size. 1 star off for the premium price as compared to similar products of similar performance.

Air pump arrived right on time and I am very happy with this purchase. It is so quiet. Essentially silent. I cannot hear it over the bubbles breaking the surface. It is so tiny which is perfect for my pico reef aquarium. And it suctions to the side of the tank which hides it completely in the back. It barely vibrates so it does not giggle the tank and does not disturb the marine life.

IMPORTANT EDIT: PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS/FIRE HAZARDI have this installed in my 10Gal tank. It worked for around 8 months now. This morning however, i smelled something like burning/melting rubber or plastic. Its a very foul smell, and for a while, i thought it was the folks cutting down trees down the road. However, the scent got stronger, until i located it to be coming from my power strip. I then noticed that the plug for this air pump was sort of bubbly looking (Pictures attached). I touched it, and it was burning hot! The plastic on the plug head was melting!! If i had left the house, it would have been a fire for sure. I am so upset at this company right now. Please, please do NOT Purchase this item. It worked great for a while, but is such a danger in the house. So glad i caught it before it did anything. Again, please do not purchase this!!!

Not as quiet as you are led to believe. I was assuming it be virtually silent.It produces a high frequency buzz thats audible from the 3 feet away I'm sitting. Its louder the closer you get to it.Is it quieter than a non silent, noisy/cheap, air pump? yes. But its no better than any market good brand one. like the Tetra Whisper Air Pump.

Works perfectly and is pretty quiet. Didn't get five stars because the cord is short.
