Q: I have a pillow top mattress, every bit of 12 inches or more thick... Will it be able to bend it?

I really don't know but try calling the company. Our mattress is not pillow top and 8 inch thick. Sorry, I can't help more than that.

I wouldn't. I would recommend going bigger than your bed size if it's possible. I have a full, bought one for a full and wish I had bought one for a queen.

Q: Why does this say battery operated when answers here say it is 120VAC?

It is not battery operated, you do have to plug it in. I think it is a misprint. I definitely have my plugged into the a wall outlet.
