Pedag makes the best lifts and heel pads
I have a leg length discrepancy and I am a long time repeat customer of both the hard Pedag 169 (beige) and the softer Pedag heel pad (black) versions. I've tried many of these heel lifts and prefer the Pedag because of the real leather covers, which feel nicer if wearing shoes barefoot the way many women do. While I really need the firmer lift version, I buy the heel pad solely because of the black color, which matches better in most of my shoes and work better in sandals. If you're new to heel lifts, I can say this: Buy some VELCRO. I use the strips to secure the lifts in shoes, and using Velcor also makes them portable from shoe to shoe (the soft fuzzy side stays in the shoe).I appreciate Pedag, but I really wish they made the firmer version in black too!

Perfect mold to the heal
I ordered many different brands of lifts after surgery and leg length discrepancy. This is by far the best one in quality and fit to the heal. It is sturdy, well constructed, yet gentle on the foot. It works perfectly on sandals, too. You can color the edges to match the sandal color. It comes in different sizes, small fits normal women's shoes and narrow sandals, but for wider sandals medium is better.

Didn't stick, but solved that
UPDATE 010615- 2-stars to 4-stars- Problem most likely a result of my attempting to use them on my New Balance Men's Revitalize RX Invigorate Slide Sandal. I purchased them so I'd have something to wear with socks around the house, but turns out that the heel has too deep a depression for my Achilles tendon, so I tried these. I bet they work without trouble in shoes with closed heels.- Problem resolved by using a couple strips of Scotch® Permanent High-Density Foam Mounting Tape (or something like it purchased at my local hardware) under each one. My Achilles thanks you, I thank you!- Very rapid response (see the comment on this review) from the manufacturer to resolve my problem. Excellent customer service!- The items themselves are very well constructed. Don't hesitate to try them!<<<<<<<<<<<< prior to update >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The self-adhesive sticker came off the lifts and onto my shoes. Then the lifts floated off my shoes. Planning to invest in rubber cement to glue 'em down.

Great heel inserts!
I like these pedag heel inserts. I have to use just one in my right shoe, to compensate for shorter right leg, or something with my posture, really. I've used one of these for several years and it's very firm and has held up well, compared to others I've used. All they sell in local stores are foamy or squishy inserts which I don't need. The firm insert fits under the footbed cushion in my shoes and stays. The XL size is for men's shoe size 10 and over. I ordered more on here, and I was surprised to receive two in the package. A very good deal, I thought I was only getting one!

It works & it's comfortable...
I have tried a half dozen heel lifts since a hip replacement left one leg a half inch longer. This fits in my casual shoes & work boots without slipping around. Comfortable, doesn't make my heel or foot hurt & seems to have given me the half inch I needed to even out.I would highly recommend this heel lift.

Very Stiff at first, "self adhesive" it is not.
these are stiff, but have molded quickly over time. The "self adhesive" is just not even something they can even think about doing. They have a small dime sized sticky inside, but the bottom of the insert is textured, so it doesn't help them stay in place any better than friction. That being said, they do stay in place. I ordered three of these for many different shoes because I am lucky with one leg bone shorter than the other. These certainly are helping my IT-band strain. Only gave 4 stars because of the misleading title.

Too hard, no adhesion, and don't fit shoe
I wear a size 10N shoe so bought a large based on my shoe size. They do not fit into my narrow shoes. I suggest they be marketed based on width of shoe, not size. Additionally, they are very hard. I have other leather lifts with some "give" and they work well. And, finally, when I removed the little white circle, there was no adhesive quality on the lift itself. The little white circle was sticky, but not the insert. I can't attest to comfort as I haven't worn them yet. I may have an athletic shoe that is a little bigger in which they fit, but they certainly won't fit in any dressier shoes.
