A New Twist on Strips 'n Curves

Terrific quilting book with lots ideas on convergence, and strip piecing and color schema. It is so loaded with projects and information that I am still just reading it and deciding what I might try. I would definitely by this book as a beginning quilter as the strip piecing is very easy and can be combined in blocks with applique right from the start. These points do not require points to match and do not require a frustrating amount of accuracy. The results are very beautiful, organic quilts that can showcase a quilter's use of color choice and fabric selection. When you advance there are hardier projects with curved piecing and lots of intricacy. Well worth the wonderful price I paid for it from the bookseller that discounted it.

Beautiful ideas even if I never actually use the techniques in a quilt. Eventually I'll get around to reading it. For now it's just nice to look.

As a serious quilter this book has some very wonderful ideas and beautiful illustrations for those that like a bit of a challenge.

Paper piecing is not a new method but since the book is I was verydisappointed when I realized that in the 90's I had purchased a book with the same pattern in it. I guess I expected to buy a new book with new patterns and this is my reason for being disappointed. If you are newto paper-piecing this book would be somewhat helpful.

it arrived in very good condion and good to use. it makes me happy. I was easy to read and understand. so it was very useful. I learn many tips for quilts.

This book is great for a little something different. If you want modern and the ability to take it off the beaten path, this is a great book with an interesting technique. You will need to buy a ton of rulers to get the effects, but they are worth it.

Inspirational techniques and designs! Love it! It's always fun to branch out and send my quilting in a new direction. There are ideas geared toward new quilters as well as experienced quilters. I can't wait to try out some of these techniques. Beautiful book!

in dem Buch sind einige Möglichkeiten. die ich gern ausprobieren möchte - mal sehen, ob es ein Wand- oder Gebrauchsquilt wird. Es sind unterschiedliche, auch spannende Kurven möglich. Vieles sieht viel schwerer aus als es ist. aber gewusst wie!!

Arrivo immediato, bel libro

Ein tolles Buch mit sehr interessanten Ideen für Quilts mit Kurven. Für einige Quilts ist es von Vorteil, die dazugehörigen Schablonen von Louisa L. Smith zu haben. Andere Quilts können in freier Schneidetechnik gemacht werden, was auch für Landschaftsquilts sinnvoll ist. Ein Buch, dass gute Anregungen enthält.
