NETVUE Indoor Security Camera, 1080P Home Camera 2 Way Audio and Night Vision, Motion Detection, Compatible with Alexa Echo Show, Pet Monitor, Baby Camera with Cloud Storage

In truth, I am using this for a purpose that it was not actually designed for. I have it pointing through the front window (including window screen) to watch the front yard and street. During daytime it works very well indeed, spotting most vehicles and foot traffic. After dark I have to keep it set to daytime because the built in IR lights reflect off of the glass. It would work very well after dark too except for a street light in the next yard lighting up the neighbors yard and plunging mine into darkness. I have ordered two LED dusk to dawn landscape lights for my yard which will hopefully make up for the light imbalance. I will add the results later. It is amazingly wide angle and covers a view I had thought would require two cameras. It turns out that this camera works amazingly well through a window and if offered at a very reasonable price. The optional 24/7 hours recording cloud service would be a good match for this camera but I am using a memory card instead. The optional motion video service works well but does occasionally delay your being able to quickly view the camera when motion is detected. As for installation, I did have a few problems installing it. Formatting the memory card took more than a half hour. It would not connect to wifi on the first three tries and then suddenly had connected. No problem since then. As with all the Netvue cameras notifications are set to my iPhone and Apple Watch. Sometimes it includes a snapshot of what it is seeing. The notifications are fast though In summary, I highly recommend this camera as well as the Netvue Vigil and pet camera.

So I've had this product for just about 2 years now and I have specifically placed it by my window overlooking our patio and I can tell you that this is a good device for the price.The video quality is good for the price and captures a lot of detail during the day.One option that's pretty neat that this camera has is a motion zone. This is layed out on a 3x4 grid where you can manually pick which parts of the camera have their motion detection turned off or on. So, for example, if you decide to put this camera near something like a fish tank, you can turn off the motion detection for the area of the fish tank and keep it on for the rest of the area so that you're not bombarded with notifications of movement.As for night vision, unfortunately, at night, our window gets in the way of night vision so we had to turn that off but from the times I have tested the night vision out, it works great and you can see a lot in a room at night thanks to it.The quality of the audio from the speakers was decent (you might find it a bit difficult to communicate over the speakers since it isn't the clearest), but I can't really complain for the price I paid. All in all, if you're looking for a solid indoor security camera, this little guy works well and at an affordable price point.

For the price this is the best wifi camera you can get on Amazon. The picture quality is pretty good and has an HD mode. The motion sensor works perfect for our simple needs. The app has some pretty good features, such as scheduling a sleep mode and controlling zones for motion detection. One of my favorite things is the ability to use an SD card instead of paying for a subscription to record. I now have 3 of these set up in my home and I am overall satisfied with everything it can do at this price point.The only complaint I have is with it's ability to be a baby monitor when coupled with an Amazon echo show. Our original plan was to use this camera and our echo show as a cheap baby monitor system with an easy setup. However, we ran into a big problem, when using an echo show the camera feed eventually times out at about an hour or two and defeats the whole purpose of using it as a baby monitor. We spoke with Netvue about the problem and they told us it was a problem on Amazon's end, we then called Amazon and they told us it was a problem on Netvue's end. Eventually we were told we would get a call back from Netvue who still assured us it wasn't something they had programmed. In the end it was never solved and we ended up just using a tablet as our screen for the baby monitor which wasn't our original intentions but not the end of the world.

I bought this to check in on my pup during the day. I received the camera yesterday, here are the Pros in no particular order:-set it up in about 1 minute and it's working great. I was able to set it up in one place, then unplug and move it to the place where I envisioned it. It took a few seconds to reconnect but I was glad to learn it doesn't need to be set up any time it's moved.-the picture is clear and in color.-can easily snap a picture and I believe there is free cloud storage for 14 days and if you would like to purchase a storage for a longer period of time, you may. I don't need it so don't quote me on this.-the 2 way mic is awesome - although I did notice that when I talk into it, I hear a repeat of what I just said, which may be me hearing it coming from the other side as if someone were responding - but that feature wasn't the reason I bought this, so it doesn't affect my opinion.-I read a bunch of recent review of the app before I downloaded it and there were mostly complaints and was expecting the worst. However I haven't experienced anything negative.-my husband can view it from his phone as well, at the same time I am.Cons:-I don't have another one to watch other rooms-can't get my work done at work because I'm too busy watching the app lolFor the price and quality, I would highly recommend this - I'm even debating purchasing at least 1 more so I can see another room (s) in the house.
