Sturdy enough to be confident.
I have yet to travel with this. Will do so in one week. Definitely feel good that my equipment will be safe. Light enough to keep overall weight with contents under 50 pounds for airline travel.

SKB Double Bow Case
After much research into bow cases that could withstand the rigors of airline travel, I finally decided to go with the SKB Double Bow case. I am not disappointed. After receiving my case, I embarked on a trip from CA to Missouri with multiple connections along the way. Then from Missouri to Nebraska with multiple connections. Then from Nebraska back to CA with multiple connections. This case definitely lived up to its billing. The once brand new exterior now shows the signs of abuse of baggage handlers, but none of the interior contents suffered so much as a scratch during all that throwing around. Like most, I value my expensive equipment and I wanted a case that would protect it well. This case did the trick and I would highly recommend it to anyone else needing a hard case, especially for airline purposes. I would also like to point out that even though I only have one bow, I bought a double case based on recommendations from others to use the extra room for clothes and such. Depending on the type and duration of your trip, you may not need a second bag for your travel necessities (clothes, etc). I was able to fit all of my bow and ALL of its accessories, including quiver, arrows, tackle box, etc., and all of my hunting clothes, including my boots, inside the case. If I wasn't going for a month and needed other clothes, this would have been the only checked bag I would have needed. As for the size, every airline has regulations regarding "oversized" bags, and this case is way over the linear inches demarcation for oversized baggage. However, because it is considered archery equipment, there is an exception and no one ever looked twice and the size. I even flew one leg on a turbo prop that only held 8 passengers and no one ever said a word about the size of the case. I was quite surprised. The 50 pound weight limitation still applies, and this case all by itself weighs over 24 pounds, so you will need to be mindful of that, but I packed mine right to the 50 pound limit and had no issues. Again, this case lived up to the billing and easily met my lofty expectations when I bought it. But it; you will not be disappointed.

The bow made it both there and back in perfect shape, as did the arrows and other equipment ...
I purchased this in September 2016 to carry my Mathews eZ7 to fly from WI to MT for an archery elk hunt. The bow made it both there and back in perfect shape, as did the arrows and other equipment stored under the foam pad. In fact, the case was packed on a horse to carry into a high camp, and at one point the pack on the horse had to be released by a guide to keep the horse from stumbling down a steep hill. The pack rolled down the hill with my case, but upon inspection, everything was perfect inside. This past August I flew to South Africa for a plains game hunt with my bow and used this case. The bow made it through several flight changeovers perfectly. The case also bounced around in the back of a truck over rough trails for the duration of the 7.5 day hunt, and was stepped on, pretty much tossed out of the truck, etc., and the bow and equipment were perfect. Finally, even though it is a large case, I never got charged at anytime by any airline for oversized baggage. My brother has the same brand case, just longer and with one level, and he never got charged on our SA hunt, either. I cannot recommend this case enough!

Will fit most bows loosely unless you have a newer Prime/Matthews/Hoyt with wide limb pockets.
This case is a tank. I don't think twice about my bow going through security at the airport. I use a Prime, Black 5 as my hunting bow. It just barely fits (1/8") on either side of the cams at top and bottom. The depth of the bow is why I got the double case. I am glad I did, it fits my Prime B5 more like a single case fits my Prime Centergy. I pack my clothes and gear around my bow to snug it down in the case while traveling; offering it a bit of added protective padding inside the case.If you're on the fence, GET IT.Also, the warranty is what lead me to SKB instead of Pelican, or other cases of the same genre.

Awesome case
I didn't plan on using this case for 2 bows but I would be possible. I primary wanted to have ultimate protection for a single bow and some extras. I did add some extra foam which I had laying around to fit my Elite Impulse 34. I also used a 1/2" drive extension which i glued into the foam which fits the quiver and locks it into place. It came with a full size 2' thick foam piece which I didn't have to use because I added the square 4" piece to the lid which gently pushes down on the riser without putting any force on the arrows or sight. I wanted the extra depth and width this case offered, I can leave my stabilizer on too. It has plenty of room for extras if i want to cut and glue some more foam pieces in for extra arrows or whatever.Overall this case is very well made. The latches, rubber handles and wheels are great quality. Heavy compared to most bow cases but I can now fly without fear of my bow being broken (Total weight is 29 pounds with bow). I dont think you will be disappointed in this case, the fit and finish are great.

It ended up working out fine. It did require modification though
I bought this to hold a shotgun and a bow. It ended up working out fine. It did require modification though. I had to drill a hole with a holesaw for the the bow site in the middle divider for relief. Otherwise I could not get the unit to close easily. I was worried that the site would get out of whack from tried to force it closed. For the shotgun...I had to remove some of the foam on the bottom. The discretion says double bow...unless you took your site off...there is not a chance in hell this would fit two bows! It would be perfect for two guns, but definitely not two compounds. It does not come with TSA locks...it should for the price. You can buy those separately, but they require a bit of finesse to install these. Not a hard install, but annoyed you cannot just order them from factory with them. If you buy this...expect to spend some time modifying case. Once it is modified to your liking this case is really awesome.

Heavy duty case
Another well built SKB product. Very heavy duty construction. I found it a little tight closing with two rigged bows but was able to make it work. I also found the case itself to be heavy but that should be expected if you want it to hold up. Shipped bows across the country and back and this case kept my gear safe. I recommend this to any hunter or sport shooter that wants a heavy duty case.
