***UPDATE -- Yesterday I washed up a set of brand-new t-shirt sheets and put them on my bed with my electric blanket over them and then this comforter on top. Before I went to bed, I turned the electric blanket on low. When I got in bed, it felt like heaven. The comforter has weight to it, and I felt like I had one of those weighted blankets on. It was very calming and soothing. I did turn the electric blanket off right away because I was plenty warm. I know I didn't toss and turn because my hair wasn't sticking up all over this morning. This comforter is a keeper for sure, and I'm going to order a full sized one for the couch.***I spent HOURS looking at sherpa-lined comforters online. My specifications were: decent price, good quality, warm, soft, nice color preferably brown, king sized, decent weight, and washable. I had it narrowed down to two, but the one called 'Espresso Brown' did not have good reviews regarding the color. So, I bought this one. I am blown away. This thing is sooooooooo soft on both sides. I laid on the couch with it wrapped around me one evening, and I was nice and toasty warm. I just wanted to stay like that all night.I haven't washed it yet but am hoping that it will hold up nicely and be just as soft and warm as before. I will update my review if I have a bad experience washing it, but I think it will do fine.

I really like this bed set it is soft comfy and a perfect size for a big bed feel. The pillow covers are awesome and match perfectly. I was impressed with the quality yet the lightness of the material. Great value

Great dark black color, is super soft and warm. Maybe to warm. The soft microfiber fabric feels great but I don't know how well it will hold up over time.

I'm rather picky when it comes to products I spend my money on. It's pretty rare to get quality craftsmanship these days. Looks rather fancy on the bed. Has a really good feel to it. Nicely soft with decent amount of weight to it. I have a queen bed but I ordered a king size and I like the amount of overhang I have now.....but I also use king sized pillows on my bed already . The pillow cases did add a bit of rigidness to the pillow-but the feel of the material made up for that. Might get a softer pillow to even things out but still isn't really a complaint. Might have to use different sheets with thus comforter though. Had flannel sheets on already when the comforter arrived ...didn't feel like swapping them, just wanted to test out the new comforter like an impatient kid at Christmas. That combination was almost too warm for a mid December night in northeast wisconsin---so if I had to complain about something, I guess that would be it.

I am a very picky consumer. I read reviews & focus on both the positive & the negative feedback a product receives. I like to give credible feedback if I review a product to help other make the best educated decision. If you are searching for a good comforter set this may be what you are looking for. Personally this is my favorite bed set. It was definitely worth the money.The surface is slick and glossy like satin. The material is so soft, it makes you want to stay on the top just rubbing your skin on the smooth surface. The underside reminds you of a wooly rug. It looks strange but it adds extra layers which makes it heavy and dense. It will definitely keep you warm. Be aware this wool like undercoat will leave lint (just like a rug) on many fabrics. My set was black which also seems to be a lint magnet. However because of the high quality fibers the surface is easily cleaned. You can easily sweep the lint off the blanket with your hand. I have not washed it yet, so I can't say how it will hold up after a washingMy only real issue would be it only offers 2 pillow shams, & it does not sell additional shams.. Who only has 2 pillows on a king sized bed? Besides that I would highly recommend this set. You get what you pay for and it’s worth it.

I bought this in gray a few years ago but the faux shearling part did not wear well. It was perfect, nice and heavy, really warm, and so suedelike.But they changed it, its nice but and soft/fluffy. Medium Warmth, very lightweight, and more like a thin velvet than faux suede. It's more of a good layer than a comforter. The sherpa part is just like the other side, just white. They should call this what it is: An extra fluffy hospital blanket colored to resemble the sherpa look.
