I wanted something timeless and classic for my daughters High school graduation. I found this compass on amazon and fell in love with the images.I had a concern about it arriving on time for the graduation, however, after talking to the vendor through email I was assured it would arrive on time. I was not disappointed. They did indeed get it to me in plenty of time to wrap for the grad party. It was very well protected and wrapped to avoid shipping damage.The compass itself is very classy looking and the engraving I had put on was very well done. The patina makes it look like something handed down many generations already, parent to child. I might update to share my daughters reaction when she opens it, but the 5 stars I gave this compass are well deserved. If your thinking about it, don't hesitate, you won't regret it. Just give some shipping time.I am so happy with this purchase and would never hesitate to order from D A Handcrafts again.

I wish there were more stars! This supplier was exceptional. I needed this compass before it’s delivery date. I contacted the seller and received an email back within the hour or less! They were so great and assured me they would get it to me ASAP. It showed up a few days later to my shock! It is the most wonderful, well crafted item I’ve received off amazon. It’s got weight to it. The design is elegant and stunning. The leather holder is a great quality . It’s real leather and smells so good! I’m going to order these as graduation, Birthday and baptism gifts. The personalization is so special. This is a gift that will be an item to be passed down to the next generation. Thank you, for making such a quality item when nowadays there is so much junk sold and poorly made goods. I can’t say enough! I’d pay three times as much as it’s sold for knowing the service and quality.

I gifted this compass and it was very well received. The authenticity was noticed, along with the "manly leather" smell. Of all of the gifts presented, this was possibly the most favorite. The inscription was neatly etched, too, and easy to read.I did have an issue with a small defect when the first compass arrived (it arrived much earlier than anticipated), and the seller communicated quickly and replaced the compass right away. If I'm not mistaken, I received the replacement still well before the date of when the original was supposed to ship. Excellent and friendly customer service, hands down.I would recommend working with this seller, and if I have a need to purchase anything else this seller provides, I will buy confidently.

This is a fantastic gift idea for anyone who loves antiques or the outdoors. This compass exceeded my expectations with how well its build and the engraving offered. This is NOT a cheaply made compass. It's very well made heavy for its size so you can tell it's not a cheap product. I got it for my wife as a wedding gift with our date engraved on the back and she loved it even though she will never use it, but she keeps it on her nightstand and comments on it frequently. Highly recommend this gift idea as a nice collection piece.

I bought this compass for my nephew, he graduated from 9th grade this year. I wanted him to have something special and memorable to help guide him whenever he was stuck or feeling down. High school can be a hard place especially a child from a religious background, so I found it appealing to be able to write a meaningful inscription on his compass to keep him focused and strong. I love this compass because of the high-quality craftsmanship and the feel of it. I also like that he will be able to pass it down to his children.

The product arrived a day later than the "next day" expectation. The seller was very accommodating and adjusted the cost for shipping and handling and apologized for the delay. My friends were completely impressed with this compass. It would be better if it included some type of instructions though. I had to take off one star because we could not figure out how to use it properly but the thing is high quality and impressive.

Sent this to my son since he and his wife were getting married in a small civil service in CA before coming east to to have a wedding with family and friends on the east coast. I sent a lovely anklet for her but gifts for men are harder. I was able to have a quote of my choosing engraved and it was ready faster than I expected it could be done. Very special!
